What Ever Happened To???(M.Pullan)

I like it when the rain comes down
it's like it washes away everything that's wrong
I like it when the sun goes down
it's like the caravans packed and everyone has gone
but everyone is inside with the TV turned on
sometimes I'd like to join them
but right now I'd rather be on a train

I'd like to go back to the old house
and see the streets that all look the same
until you walk down and through them
and you know everyone by name
well sometimes I'd like to stand still
and watch the world go by
but for some reason today I got to say
"wouldn't you like to get away"

the places that we all knew
well sunday went by so fast

so let the rain come down
and in a moment I'll come in
but right now I think I'll stand a while
and think about
getting on a train
